Maati – Cotton Handloom Saree in Olive

This one is woven, not painted. It comes from a handloom family we buy from directly, and the small unevenness in the weave is the loom, not a fault.

Olive is an easy colour to live in. Cotton this weight breathes through a Dhaka afternoon and softens with each wash, which is why our customers keep coming back for the plain handloom before the festive pieces.

• Woven by hand on a pit loom

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash. Wash separately for the first two washes, as handloom cotton releases a little colour. Starch lightly if you like a crisp drape.
