Golok – Round Fabric Pendant with Pompom Beads

A flat round pendant wrapped in printed cloth, hung on a string of wooden beads and small wool pompoms. Everyday jewellery rather than occasion jewellery.

It reads best over a plain black or dark kurti, which is how it is shown. Short enough to wear with a collar, long enough to be seen.

Made by hand in the same Khulna workshop as the sarees, from the offcuts left over after a garment is cut. Colours and sizes move a little from piece to piece. That is the point of it.

Care

Keep it dry. Do not wash it and do not spray perfume on it. Wipe with a dry cloth and store it flat, away from the sun. Thread and fabric fade faster than metal does.
